Along with bass, I teach ukulele and guitar. I currently have a roster of 15 students and I’m always looking to add more. My teaching experience has given me an excellent perspective in effective communication and provided me the ability to listen attentively to my students’ questions and needs. A teacher has to constantly assess a student’s skill level and comprehension of new techniques to determine when to appropriately introduce new concepts, or revisit previously covered material for review. I believe it is the teacher’s responsibility to effectively guide the student through this process.
